“The virus is going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”
– President Donald Trump
During one of his ubiquitous appearances on Capitol Hill earlier this week, Dr. Anthony Fauci was overheard referring to one of the Senators as a moron.
It takes one to know one, we guess.
Normally, we’d applaud someone for displaying such candor during a Congressional hearing. In their infinite narcissism, politicians have given up any pretense that these meetings are trying to uncover truth or guide wise governance. Today they’re just chances for grandstanding blowhards to spout whatever nonsense will earn them more cash from donors.
Since they’re getting paid while talking, they’re essentially fundraising at taxpayers’ expense.
At the same time, our tax dollars pay for Dr. Fauci, too. According to Forbes, his salary in 2020 was $434,312 — making him one of the highest paid government employees. Even the president only makes $400,000.
And that’s just Fauci’s take-home pay. We don’t know if he’s earning any royalties from drugs he helped develop while working in the private sector… or if he owns stock in any companies that have benefited from the pandemic.
It’s a pretty sweet gig… and not one he’s eager to give up. He’s really no different than the politicians who will say whatever is necessary to keep their jobs. And, as Ray explains, the Omicron variant is giving the powers that be a chance to change the narrative without having to admit “they’ve been wrong about almost everything.”
“The masks didn’t really help, the vaccine didn’t stop infection and transmission,” Ray says. “I would respect these guys for standing up and saying we’re sorry, we screwed up, we need to change our policy because this didn’t work.”
Basically, “the virus has proven to be smarter than our smartest people.” The less-than-meritorious “Barbarians of Specialization” exerted an “unprecedented level of control over society to try to stop this invisible little thing that doesn’t even have a brain,” Ray explains.
“And guess what — the virus won.”
Fauci admitting that Omicron “will ultimately find just about everybody” means we are entering a new stage of things. “The people running the country want to throw in the towel already,” Ray says. “They couldn’t beat it; it beat them. So they want to change the story.”
It’s not clear what that story will be. But the best course would be to stop treating COVID as a pandemic and instead consider it as an endemic — a disease that we just have to live with. We already do that with the flu… including the Spanish variant that crops up again and again.
Worldwide, “hundreds of thousands of people die in a typical year from the flu,” Ray says. Vaccines can only help so much because “flu viruses are always swapping genetic material.” There are so many different strains in the world that the vaccine manufacturers have to choose which ones to protect people against.
“They’ll look at what’s circulating in the Southern Hemisphere in the summer,” Ray reports. Then they’ll develop something that will give North Americans “protection against three or four strains.”
Occasionally researchers will get it wrong — or another strain will suddenly crop up, like the swine flu in 2009.
When that happens, the playbook is pretty simple: protect the most vulnerable populations and treat people as they become sick. Yes, people will still die. But it’s seen as inevitable… and we don’t shut down businesses, make people wear masks… or force them to get shots they don’t want.
Early in the pandemic, you could argue that COVID’s risks were too high to follow that playbook. Omicron, however, is “not putting a whole heck of a lot of people in the hospital.” In fact, Ray says Omicron “could be a divine providence intervening in human history, finally putting us out of our misery”.
We just have to hope the people calling the shots are bold enough to admit it.
There are many theories amok claiming it’s all a hoax anyway, trumped up by globalists to grab even more authoritarian control. We’re having a look at some of those theories and will let you know if we find anything interesting… stay tuned.
